財務匯報局 (FRC) 是根據財務匯報局條例 (FRCO) 於 2006 年 12 月 1 日成立的獨立機構。它被賦予了通過註冊和認可製度,以及通過檢查、調查和紀律處分來規範上市實體審計師的法定職責。自 2022 年 10 月 1 日起,FRC 將更名為會計及財務匯報局 (AFRC),並承擔顯著增加的監管責任,監督香港會計師公會根據《會計及財務匯報局條例》規定的有關公共會計師的法定職能方面的表現。

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Policy, Registration and Oversight in developing strategies for driving forward AFRC’s mission through its policy function.
  • Promote the importance of financial reporting and audit quality and support the development of the accounting profession.
  • Provide leadership in the identification and prioritization of AFRC’s policy focus.
  • Oversee the development and promotion of AFRC’s policy positions and research projects.
  • Be responsible for the timing and delivery of AFRC’s thought leadership pipeline, including the initiation and production of research reports, thought leadership articles and analyses.
  • Deploy a range of strategies and channels to maximise the impact of AFRC’s thought leadership projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Communications, Journalism, or relevant discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in policy/economic research and analyses.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading research team members (e.g. analysts, researchers, economists).
  • Solid research and analytical skillset and a great storyteller.
  • Passionate about research and a solid track record in publishing relevant research reports, analyses and/or thought leadership articles relevant in the respective industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

  • At least 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in audit or accounting gained from professional audit firms.

  • Lead the case team in conducting investigations into possible misconduct committed by auditors, practice units and certified public accountants arising from complaints, whistleblower reports, referrals from other regulators or otherwise.

Data held by the AFRC relating to employment applications will be kept confidential and used for recruitment purposes only. Applicants who are not contacted within six weeks may consider their applications unsuccessful. The AFRC will retain their applications for a maximum of one year.
